Telemarketing Officer - Sheffield



This is an exceptional role for a Telemarketing Officer to join this reputable textiles company that is based in Sheffield. This company has a great reputation for quality and excellent service. The Job Role:



The role of Telemarketing Officer is to generate appointments with potential clients, in line with the company’s sales strategy. This role will involve close liaison with field sales staff and key decision makers via computerised systems.



Telephone Appointment Setting



• Scheduling of new and aftercare appointments for the sales team

• Fact finding for each call re decision-maker

• Continuous maintenance of CRM to ensure consistency with calls

• Send reps appointments out weekly

• Update system on all calling activities and ensure it is maintained appropriately

• Liaise with field sales staff

• Action new enquiries

• Re-arrange appointments when needed

• Weekly contact with rep to share knowledge, also maximise region potential minimise expenses for travelling

• Sharing best practice with colleagues

• Participate and contribute in AGM’s

• Other Admin tasks as necessary



Essential Requirements / Person Spec:



It’s essential you have experience of working in a telemarketing /telesales capacity, dealing with proactive new business enquiries generating appointments, fact finding and speaking with key decision makers. It is important that you are driven, have strong ethics and have displayed loyalty in the past; it would also be ideal if you have sold into the public sector.



The salary bracket for this Telemarketing Officer role is £14,500 pro-rata depending on experience. Initially this will be on a fixed term contract for 10 months starting in September 2010. You will be contracted to work 25 hours per week and flexibility regarding your working hours is desired. It is likely after the 10 months fixed term contract that this will turn into a permanent position!
