Graduate Civil Engineer



Our client is a global provider of engineering, consulting, construction and operations services for the water and wastewater, facilities, transportation and environmnetal markers. They cover a broad range of industries, including public sector agencies, local government and major industrial companies. In the UK and Ireland they focus on key services to the water, environmental and waste management markets and provide turnkey design/ engineering and consultancy services in these fields.



From their head office in South Yorkshire they are currently looking to recruit a Civil Graduate on a permanent basis.



Working as part of a multi disciplinary design team, the role will involve:



Preparation of reports;

Preparation of design calculations and drawings;

Specifying and ordering of equipment;

Working closely with the site construction and commissioning teams.



The successful candidate will:



Have a relevant degree (minimum 2:2);

Enjoy working as part of a Team;

Have the ability to work using their own initiative;

Be able to work to exacting deadlines or standards;

Be enthusiastic, motivated and eager to learn;

Be a good communicator, both oral and written.



This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate engineer to join a graduate training programme that is designed to recruit and retain graduates in targeted disciplines. You will be given opportunities to work on projects that utilise your knowledge and that will expose you to a wide variety of experiences to enhance your skills as a professional in your chosen field.



Our client will support you to achieve chartered status. Alongside this you will be given training during your first 12- 18 months aimed at developing your soft skills but will also introduce you to other areas of the business, enabling you to widen your skills base and improve your business acumen.
